Obituary of Bonnie Walker
Bonnie passed away with her children at her side on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Grand River Hospital at age 77. She will reunite with her husband David. Loving Mom to Bradley Walker (Mark), Kimberly Parsons (Ryan), and Jeffery Walker (Stephanie). She was “Bonatron”, “BonBon”, and “Grandma” to grandsons Nicholas and Owen Parsons and granddaughters Piper and Liberty Walker. She leaves behind her sister Lois McKay (Doug) and brother Brian Branscombe. She will especially be missed by her loving miniature Goldendoodle, Lucy.
Bonnie was predeceased by her parents Borden and Bernice Branscombe (nee Stacey), as well as her brothers Doug and Ron, and “Great Nan” Dorothy Walker.
Bonnie was born and raised on Wooler Road. She moved to Toronto at age 17 and loved her job at Loblaws. She met her one true love Dave and settled down in Waterloo. She became a Real Estate Agent while Dave ran his Esso Station. In 1998, they started up their careers as franchisees at Tim Hortons alongside their children. She cherished phone calls with her family, watching 60 Minutes on Sundays, hosting Christmas dinner each year, and taking the grandchildren out for a meal on their birthdays.
Her humorous stories, hardworking mindset and homemade banana bread are just some of the things her family and friends will miss most.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service has been held. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
