Tony peacefully entered into his eternal home on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the age of 92 years.

Survived by his sister-in-law Nell. His children Valerie Poulsen (Rev. Olaf), Ben Wynowsky (Karen), Denis Wynowsky (Carol), grandchildren Rebecca (Paul), Aaron (Samantha), Colin (Sarah), Leslie (Amanda) Grant (Brandi), Candice (Kyle), Wendy (Dawson) as well as 14 great grandchildren. Also survived by his nieces and nephews in Canada: Frances (Irvin), Anthony (Agnes), Paul (Betty), Joan (Stacey), Karen (Craig).

Predeceased by his wife Verdella (nee Kropf) of 55 years: his parents Antonius and Catharina (nee Van Luytelaar) as well as his 10 siblings.

In his 20’s he lived in South Africa for 5 years. Then he immigrated to Canada in 1958. He settled in Waterloo ON working as a sports car mechanic at Teercotts Garage. Tony eventually bought this business which was located beside the famed Harmony Lunch on King St., Waterloo. He changed its name to “Tony’s Garage”. Tony was also a member of WWAF (Waterloo Wellington Air Force). He had acquired his pilots’ license a few years before.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday April 30, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  The service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Olaf J. Poulsen officiating.  Cremation will have taken place and interment will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erbsville at a later date.
