Obituary of James Howard Stark

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of James Howard Stark in his 92^nd year. Beloved husband of Lois for over 68 years. Loving father to Carol Steele (Ken), Cheryl Michels (Garry) and Yvonne Stark. Proud grandfather to James Steele (Jessica), Sarah Popkey (Joe), Jeffrey Steele (Mary), Laura Moir (Bryan) and Jacqueline Steele (John); great-grandfather to Jordan, Joey, Grace, Wade, Frank, Jack, Simon, Felicity and Amelia.

James worked for over 30 years as Field Supervisor for the York Region District School Board. Upon retirement, he and Lois moved to Kitchener to be closer to family. James spent countless hours in retirement volunteering for the Canadian Cancer Society, CNIB, RAISE Home Support, St. Mary's Hospital, Grand River Hospital, as well as Pinehaven and Parkwood nursing homes in Waterloo. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday May 7, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo. A funeral service will take place at Christ Lutheran Church, 445 Anndale Road, Waterloo on Monday May 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. David Malina officiating.  The interment will immediately follow the service at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. After burial, the family welcomes friends to a luncheon reception at the church hall.
