Obituary of Bryce Gordon Inglis

October 3, 1944 – May 17, 2023

It is with deep sorrow, we announce that Bryce Gordon Inglis (78) passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023. After a lengthy recovery from heart surgery, Bryce quickly succumbed to an unexpected diagnosis of cancer within weeks.

Bryce was an outgoing personable individual, with quit wit, kind heart, and a great sense of humour. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all his life experiences. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his family, precious grandchildren, and friends.

Survived by his wife Anne (Milek) after 52 years of marriage, his son Rob (Courtney), five (5) grandchildren, his brother Ken (Lynne), his sister Ruth (Colin) and sister-in-law Bette. Bryce is preceded in death by his son Jim, and brother Bill.

When his time came, Bryce carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him and those he left behind. He will be missed dearly.

We wish to express our sincere appreciation to all the wonderful caring staff at St. Mary’s Hospital (3rd and 7th floors). We would also wish to extend our appreciation to the staff at HomeCare Partners and to Freeport Palliative Care Hospice who attended to Bryce during his brief stay and final hours.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday May 23, 2023 from 1:30 to 2:15pm at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:30pm with a reception to immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations in Bryce’s memory be made to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.
