Bob passed away peacefully on Saturday May 20, 2023, at Grand River Hospital Freeport Campus Palliative Care Unit.
Bob has gone to join his beloved wife of 60 years Jeannette (Nee Paleczny). He is survived by brothers Garry (Marie) Pullin of London and Ronald (Mary) Pullin of Grand Bend, sister-in-law Helen (Jack, predeceased) Shanahan, brothers-in-law Louis (Janice) Paleczny and Ronald (Alice) Paleczny. Bob will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Bob is predeceased by his parents Earl and Edith (Nee Hazelt) Pullin, parents-in-law Louis and Natalia (Nee Oriniak) Paleczny, brothers David and Kenneth, sister Joyce Pierce and twin sisters Sharon Swanson and Sylvia Pullin, sisters-in-law Jenny Liszak, Ann Tschirhart, Angela Lis, Francis Miehm and Amelia Evans.
Bob was born in St. Thomas and he was raised in Elgin County. He graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Agriculture, a field he worked in briefly before beginning a long and distinguished career in education. He taught or was an administrator at Kitchener Collegiate Institute, Forest Heights, Cameron Heights and Waterloo Oxford before finishing his career as the Principal of Adult and Continuing Education for the Waterloo Region District School Board.
Bob was an active member of Probus and served on many boards and committees in the community.
Bob loved life. He enjoyed sports, games and fellowship of all sorts. He loved following the Blue Jays and playing Bridge or Pinnacle with friends and family. He stayed active with golf, billiards and tennis…and always loved a game of croquet. His gentle, easy-going nature will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., on Sunday May 28, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo, on Monday May 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
Bob will be laid to final rest at Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener following Mass. Friends and family are invited for a time of fellowship and refreshment in the church hall.
