Obituary of Carol Anne Freiburger

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the age of 83. 

Loving mother of Brad (Christine), Bruce (Anne Marie) and Barry (Nina). Cherished grandmother of Scott (Kim), Kevin (Laura), Ashley (Chad), Jordan, Amanda (Kent), Hope (Liam) and 5 great-grandchildren. Will be fondly remembered by her sister Judy (Danny) McDonald, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Predeceased by her loving partner Lloyd Dorscht (2018) and beloved husband Robert “Bob” Freiburger (1992); parents Walter and Elaine (nee Davidson) Ziegler, and brother Jerry (Norma) Ziegler.

Carol will be missed by Lloyd's family, Linda, Laurie, Debbie and Jason and their families.

Carol was known as a gentle and loving woman.  Her greatest love was her family, and she always enjoyed spending time with them, reminiscing and laughing.  She will be greatly missed.

The family of Carol expresses their deep appreciation for all the love and special care given to their mom over the last few weeks by all the doctors, nurses, and staff of St. Mary’s Hospital.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 10 – 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
