Obituary of Kathleen Margaret Landry

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at home with her loving partner of 37 years, Rosey Trudeau by her side.

Kathy had spent the last years of her life battling illness and in her final months against aggressive cancer.  She fought fiercely to the very end.  Kathy spent the last of her time as she did her entire life - caring for others, protecting her friends and family, laughing and loving all those around her.

Kathy took a great many under her wing over her 79 years.  She had a tremendous love and passion for children.  Kathy and Rosey welcomed many in need into their home.  She was always rooting for the underdog.

Kathy is survived by her loving partner Rosey, brother Ken, younger sisters Anne (Sam), Sandra (Gary), one son, two grandsons (beloved Devlin) and many godchildren, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her father (Maurice), mother (Ruby), brothers (Ron & David) and her sister Barb. 

Kathy’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many wonderful doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s General Hospital and to the many nurses and PSWs who lent great care at home.  Special thank you to Dr. Claire Harlick, Palliative Care, SMGH. 

At Kathy’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.
