Savay Phothitay was a loving father, a beloved brother, and a dear friend to many.
He was born in Luang Prabang Laos where he had 3 brothers and 4 sisters. At the early age of 18, he emigrated to Canada with his brother to seek a better life. He worked hard to build up everything that he was able to achieve in his life.
He met Phannga Chanthalima, fell in love, and started a family. He had his first child Simon and built a brand-new house for his growing family. He had his daughter Sydney and lovingly raised her to be who she is today.
Along the way, Savay gathered many loyal and close friends who he always loved to party with. Despite eventually becoming a widowed father, Savay stayed strong to raise his two children on his own. He learned how to cook for his children and care for them. Even though it was hard for him he persevered for his family.
Savay learned that life is short and that he wanted to live life to the fullest. He was able to travel, eat well, and spend quality time with his friends and family.
He leaves behind his two children, his mother, and 6 siblings. He will be remembered as a cheerful man who loved his family and friends unconditionally.
May he rest in peace.
