Kathleen, Brooke and I were so surprised and saddened to see John's obituary in the paper. It was lovely to have that little visit with you both after worship on Christmas Eve. We have such great memories of John during your time with us at Knox and were grateful for your support and participation in so many of the church's programs. I had the pleasure of getting to know him while volunteering together on several HOF Potato
Blitz'. We were even all together at John & Kathleen's for a news interview about the Blitz and somehow managed
to turn that meeting into a fantastic social gathering.
I will always remember his kind & gentle disposition. Honoured to have known him even if for just a while and
glad to have served along side him at something he was so very passionate about.

My heart breaks for your immense loss. I always look forward to your weekly visit to buy groceries. We always have a laugh when the three of us would get to talking. John always had a smile and great patience while you (Kathleen) and I did most of the talking.
