Obituary of Robert (Bob) Horace Bricker

Passed away peacefully at St Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday July 2, 2023, from complications relating to recent heart surgery. 

Bob is predeceased by his parents, Horace and Almeda (Yendt) Bricker and his beloved wife Beverly (nee Parise).

Bob is the loving father of Larry Watson (Tammy), Jack Watson (Lori), Bonnie Waite (Owen) and Julia Morton (John).  He will be remembered fondly by his 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Dear brother-in-law of Linda Huffmand and Eva Parise.

Known as Bobby, he was a special brother to Donna Fitz-Henry (d. 2022), Shirley Wildfang (Gerald d.2018), Doug Bricker (Betty), Peggy Ross (Ed), Pauline Harper (Jim) and Suzanne Eckert (Bob). 

Bob grew up in Kitchener.   After graduating from KCI, he apprenticed with Sutherland and Shultz where he received an electrician designation and was a proud member of IBEW Local 804.  A few years later, he relocated to Tiverton and worked for many years at the Bruce Nuclear Plant.   He moved to Owen Sound where he met the love of his life, Beverly. They shared many happy years together and were very involved in their community.  Bob was a very generous and kind soul and was always the first to lend a helping hand. 

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Sunday July 16, 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6, 1450 2^nd Ave West, Owen Sound, from 1-4 PM.  A Masonic service will be held at 1:15 PM, followed by a Legion service at 1:45 PM.  As Bobby would put it, ‘All invited and the more the merrier.”
