Obituary of Melvin Murray Zehr

Died peacefully, in his 91^st year at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph on July 11, 2023. 

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Delphine with whom he would have celebrated their 65^th wedding anniversary on July 12, 2023.  Loving father to Scott Brubaker-Zehr (Mary), Jeff Zehr (Monica Lawrence) and Peggy Zehr (Clark Day).  He also cherished his eight grandchildren Ben (Sydney), Emily (Ryan), Micah, Laura (Sebastian), Rachel, Maya (Podrick), Kara and Tessa as well as his great-grandson Seth. 

Predeceased by his two brothers & sisters-in-law, Roy (Mary), Raymond (Hazel) and his sister Mildred.

His strong faith in God and his family were the most important parts of his life.  He was not interested in accolades of any kind.  He spent many hours in his woodworking shop making furniture for his home and family.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 5-7 pm.  The funeral service will be held at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E., Kitchener on Saturday, August 26 at 2:00 pm with refreshments to follow.
