Obituary of Joyce Elizabeth Shilling

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Joyce Shilling (nee Robinson) on July 22, 2023, at the age of 87.

Joyce was pre-deceased by James Shilling, husband of 60 years and parents Herbert and Elizabeth Robinson.  She will be greatly missed by sister, Carol Linkletter and all her nieces and nephews and friends. She will also be remembered and missed by Rose Brubacher, a very special friend whom Joyce called “her daughter”.

The family would like to thank the staff at Chartwell Westmount for taking care of Joyce over the last 5 years.

Joyce was a vibrant and important member of the family with a great sense of humour. She loved sports, especially golf, baseball and hockey.

Visitation will be held at the Erb and Good Funeral Home on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm and then a memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
