Obituary of John MacKinnon

Passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the age of 73. 

Survived by his sister Jean Adrian, niece Wanda Lizon, nephews Brett (Jordan), Bradley and Braydon, and great nephews Quinn and Weston. Will be sadly missed and forever remembered by many family and friends.

John was born on December 20, 1949 in Prince Edward Island to his parents George and Wanda MacKinnon.

John was employed for 35 years at TurboSonic. He had many skills and qualifications that served his company well. In his many roles he traveled throughout North and South America.

Johnny, a musician, had a passion for rock music and motorcycles. He was a beloved friend to quite a group of hunters with whom he hunted for thirty years. His home was the base camp for so many adventures. He was always there to help, always cheerful, loved his family, friends, pets and life in the woods.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Waterloo Rod  and Gun, 1075 Bo De Ln, St. Jacobs, small lounge, from 5 - 7 PM Thursday, August 24th. The eulogies begin at 5.30 PM. Join us for refreshments and a toast to John.
