Obituary of Lois Marilyn Blue

Peacefully at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care on Thursday July 27th 2023 in her 90th year. Lois was predeceased by her parents Albert Blue (1967) and Gladys Blue (1995). Lois was also predeceased by her closest and dearest friend Grace Zoeller (1993) with whom she worked and travelled extensively to many places around the world.

Lois graduated from the Kitchener-Waterloo School of Nursing in 1955 obtaining her RN designation. Lois went on to the University of Western Ontario and earned a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSCN) in 1956. During her career she lived and worked in hospitals in Western Canada and Ontario. Lois was also a teacher at the School of Nursing attached to Kitchener-Waterloo (now Grand River) Hospital. Lois retired from Grand River Hospital as a member of the Laboratory IV team in 1987.

As per Lois’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Interment to take place in the Blue family plot following a graveside committal service at McKillop Cemetery 30490 Talbot Line, Wallacetown, Ontario on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 11a.m.  In memory of Lois donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation may be arranged by contacting the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home at www.erbgood.com
