Obituary of Charles Menno Dietrich
Chuck passed away peacefully on Friday July 28, 2023, at Columbia Forest LTC at age 81, with his wife, Sheila (nee Neeb) of 59 years this December by his side.
Chuck will be dearly missed by Sheila, his son Mark (Lea), daughter Krista (Alain), Papa to his three grandchildren, Fraser, Hunter and Elle and step-granddaughter Jennifer (Chris) and great granddaughter Chloe.

Chuck’s happy place was his life with Sheila at their cottage at Chesley Lake, which they have shared for more than 60 years. It was a special place to catch up with their children and fish with their grandchildren.
He had a soft spot for the many dogs he had over the years, and was a true lover of his four legged friends.
Chuck was an active member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Kitchener, where he was integral in establishing the church’s bequest fund, St. Matthew’s Foundation, volunteered as an usher and sat on church counsel.
He was an avid car enthusiast and spent his spare time restoring a 1959 Corvette which he and Sheila would take cruising each summer.
For over 30 years Chuck worked for the government as an accountant where he built lifelong friendships.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Columbia Forest LTC, Dickson House and the countless family members and friends who visited him and supported Sheila over the last number of years.
