Heartfelt condolences! Regretfully I did not get to know my nephew Robin very well! I do remember when my brother Gerhard in Clymer NY (1965) led me proudly to a baby carriage where little Robin was asleep. I regret that, living on the other side of the continent, I didn't get to know him very well. I would have enjoyed getting to know him, I am sure (riding and flying with him, etc.) Now he has crossed the great divide! However, if we know our great Lord and Savior, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, we need not grieve as those who have no hope. May our Lord comfort you with His grace and truth during this painful time of bereavement. --Oome Arie

To Robin ten Pas, Some people feel fortunate to have made some friends, get in one or two good adventure, and a few solid accomplishments during their lifetime, while Robin had a lifetime of many accomplished adventures , made numerous friends, and I'm sure he would of continued had his life not come to a sudden stop. He will be missed, on the road, in the field, on the horse, in the barn, in the kitchen, on the water, in the sky and in our homes. Muchly Loved by ALL.

My name is Nancy Ryckman Sweiger. I met Robin in the late 90's, when I was trying to transition to "something" different. My brother Norm was in a partnership with Robin. They had an office furniture storefront on Adelaide, in Toronto.
All of my encounters with Robin found me laughing and cajoling with Robin - we had a common love for bikes (I had a 650 Yamaha V-Star and Robin had a Harley (of course) which got us bickering...lol.
My brother Norm died in 2009 and Robin...was his best friend. I still remember Robin having a very difficult time with Norm's eulogy.....which showed a deeper side to Robin. His friendships DID run deep ..... and there were true feelings.
I am so saddened to hear of Robin's passing ...... let's hope that he and his 'Ole buddy Norm are ....... carousing and taking the next town ...on.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Robins passing. Our sincerest condolences go to Tyler, Ellie and their families from the Romahn family. Robin was an awesome longtime friend. Robin was always there when someone needed sound advice and guidance. We worked long and hard on projects together and played even harder. A great memory of mine was coming home on horseback from a night around a fire at Wolfie’s place. After about a mile down the road we both fell asleep. The horses walked on for two miles down the road and were at the spot where we would leave the road and cross the farms to get to Robins. I awoke to Robin saying, “you sleeping wake up now or you may fall off”.
Robin you will be missed and be in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace, old friend.

Robin was a good friend growing up in High School. I met up with Robin years later when he showed up at my work selling chairs for a supplier he worked for. He hadn't changed a bit after all that time. Robin left this world way too soon. My deepest condolences to Robin's family. Rest in peace dear friend.

My sincerest condolences to all his friends and family on this tragic loss . Even though we had not seen each other in person in a few years he would contact me whenever he was interested in a new bike that he was thinking about . The last bike we chatted about was the KTM adventure bike he bought . sadly I will not get to see him ride it in person . Rest in peace old chum .

Prayers To Robins Family and friends my heart goes out to you. I met Robin thru Office Outfitters Inc. here in Saint John, New Brunswick, 20yrs ago.
Robin would stay with Andrew Patterson (passed away last Sept) and when Andrew and Wendy went to visit Robin a few years back Robin treated them as family took them riding and shooting. They loved every minute.
Robin always had a smile on his face and could light up any room.
Its hard to believe he is gone.
Robin will be missed.
Prayers

Years ago it seems now, Robin met me, a stranger out of nowhere with questions about PPG.
I can't even remember how we connected. Fellow pilot group somewhere perhaps. But for whatever reason he took the time.
But he made his way to meet me for lunch in Maple and convinced me I should give PPG a try.
He was in my thoughts when I did my first solo and I inwardly I was hoping he took some satisfaction when he saw me post videos my kids took of my first PPG solo. I hope he felt a little bit of pride knowing he influenced me to try it out.
But I never got the fly with him.
That's a heart breaking regret that I'll never be able to fix.
But I lived vicariously and with no small amount of envy through his FB posts so I had that.
I don't know what took him so out of the blue (pun intended); but I hate it whatever it is.

Robin and I first met in the air when he hopped in his PPG to takeoff and come up to meet the stranger who was flying overhead his home. What began then was a friendship that I can honestly say involved spending more time with each other in the air than we did on the ground… taking adventure-filled trips to the USA with our PPGs, and flying right seat in each other’s airplanes. I quickly learned that Robin’s generous heart and adventurous spirit was shared with anyone he met. The brief times we shared together created indelible memories; he will be sorely missed. My sincerest condolences go out to Ellie and family, with my hope that during this time of extreme grief you will feel some solace knowing how significantly Robin impacted the lives of everyone he met.

A deep sadness and sense of loss will be felt by many in the flying community by the passing of this truly wonderful human being. He was a delight to be around. Always an outstretched hand and an open heart, smiling and laughing and full of fun. He was kind and generous and will be truly missed.
I am sure that he will have already received his wings.
Our thoughts and prayers go with him and out to Ellie and the rest of his family.
