Obituary of Kuljit "Nina" Kaur Chahal

With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Kuljit (Nina) Kaur Chahal passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the age of 54.

Nina will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Harpreet Chahal, her son Aneal Chahal and loving daughter Anjalee Chahal.  She is also survived by her parents Mr. Baljit Grewal and Mrs. Sharanjit Grewal, mother-in-law Waryam Kaur Chahal, her brother Devinder (Sonny) Grewal, and sisters-in-law Ramnik (Mona) Grewal and Indu Singh.

She was predeceased by her late father-in-law Hardial Singh Chahal, her paternal grandfather Iqbal Singh Grewal, late grandmother Gurdev Kaur Grewal, her maternal late grandfather Jager Singh Sidhu, and grandmother Kulwant Kaur Sidhu.   

Nina was born in England.  She met her husband July 2^nd, 1994 and was married Sept 3^rd, 1995 and they had been in love since they first met.  She loved to cook, travel, entertain and spend time with family and friends.  Her greatest achievement in life was raising her two children Aneal Singh and Anjalee Kaur Chahal while at the same building an interior design business, The Drapery Room.

Special thanks to Dr. Sarah Haan for making numerous house calls, and to Nina’s two favorite nurses Dianne and Allison.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Visitation at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Friday August 18^th from 6pm – 8:30pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 19^th in the funeral home’s chapel from 9am – 10:30 am with a private cremation to follow.
