A poem - He has set eternity in our hearts
There is something deep inside
I know it’s there it cannot hide
It’s vast and always by my side
steadily flowing like the rolling tide
Some days it seems I can touch its face
Some days I long for loves embrace
When present in my eternal soul
I long to return to the days of old
Back when the garden was fruitful and bright
With no darkness only light
It once was home, where we walked with God
Our longing for somewhere we have never trod
We hunger for food that surly exists
And thirst for eternity to fill our wish-list
We know God supplies all that is promised
Seek now while it’s time all that is honest
There is a wonder that mind can’t conceive
The plan from eternity hard to believe
That God became man in order to achieve
The greatest gift a soul could receive
Union with Him in loving community
Floating on the winds of glorious eternity
It can begin now in diminished visibility
Offering now joy, love and tranquility
Live in His presence forever and today
We were bought with a price to enable our stay
Be bound to Him for He did pay
The price for your souls eternal holiday.
