Obituary of Sharon Jeanne Penner

After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Sharon Jeanne Penner passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023 with her family by her side. She was 63.

Sharon will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Scott, son Brad (Lindsey), daughter Haley (Alex), sister Deb (Scott), brother Rick (Michele), sister-in-law Brenda (Rob), and the family dogs Parker, Georgia, and Willow. Sharon was predeceased by her parents Juliette and Ken Lake, and her parents-in-law Dianne and George Penner.

Sharon was a beautiful and loving person who always put her family first. She enjoyed reading, shopping, going to the gym, and practicing holistic nutrition. She cherished her memories of family vacations in Hilton Head Island and the family cottage in Woodland Beach, and often volunteered for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Special thanks to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Oncology Unit and Lisaard House Hospice Care for the exceptional and compassionate care you provided to Sharon.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, September 26^th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and Wednesday, September 27^th from 12:00pm – 12:45pm. The Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Wednesday, September 27^th at 1:00pm with a lunch reception to follow.
