It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Amos Lorne Weber on Saturday September 23, 2023 at Nithview Long Term Care at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Grace Weber (nee Bauman) for 64 years, proud father of Calvin (Heather) Weber, and Glenn (Shelly) Weber. Grandfather to Nathan, Wesley, Elizabeth, Susannah, Christopher, Daniel and Charlene.
Amos is predeceased by his daughter Charlene Joy (1963-1972), his parents Amos M. Weber and Lovina (Martin) Weber and siblings Clayton (Elmeda), Selina (Tobias), Ivan (Edna), Lydia (Gordon), Irene (Henry), Susannah (Leonard), Martha (Mel), and twin brother Emanuel Lloyd. Survived by sister-in-law Marcella (Henry) as well as many nieces and nephews. Amos is well-known and loved by Grace’s siblings, spouses and their children.
Amos spent his career working as a Ready Mix truck driver for Boehmers. When he retired, his passion was chip carving where he had honorable mention for some of his work. Amos also was an avid crokinole player. There was also time for travel – to Europe, Alaska, Mexico, Columbia and frequent trips to Vancouver.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, September 29th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. as well as Saturday September 30th from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E., Kitchener. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at First Mennonite Church with a reception to follow. Private family interment will take place at St. Jacob’s Mennonite Cemetery.
