Obituary of Murray James McIntee

Passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, with his family by his side, on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the age of 62.

Dearly missed by his beloved wife of 29 years and best friend Tanya (nee Finch). Loving father of Jason (Shelby), Allison (Shane), and Brad (Sara). Grandpa to Emily and Lily. Dear brother of Paul and his late wife Deanna, and sisters Donna, Elaine and Paula. Will also be missed by his mother-in-law Gail and brother-in-law Andrew (Holly), as well as his many friends. Predeceased by his parents and two siblings.

As those who were close to him will know, Murray was a man everyone could count on, always willing to help when asked, and he put his family’s needs before his own. Murray was a loving, charismatic, outgoing individual. He was often the life of every gathering. He loved going to the NHRA drag races, was an avid fan of the Kitchener Rangers, loved travelling the world with his family, and touring the wineries of Niagara with his friends.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. A reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room immediately following the service.  Cremation will have taken place.
