Art was born and raised in Formosa, Ontario. He enjoyed playing sports, particularly baseball, and he loved spending time with his older brother Joe. He later attended Assumption University in Windsor. Following university his career in teaching took him to the Niagara Peninsula where he met Barbara Canning, who became his partner for life. Art & Barb married in 1960. They spent many happy years in St. Catharines where they raised three children. Six grandchildren were to follow, and their joy increased with each new family member. In more recent years they relocated to Luther Village retirement community in Waterloo. Art enjoyed travel, dancing, good food, and spending time with his family, and he was a life-long baseball fan. He will be most remembered as a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves his family with many happy memories and the example of a life well-lived.
