Obituary of Ronald Wallace Pellar

Passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023 at his home in Waterloo at the age of 88.

Loving husband of Marjorie (nee Landers) for 66 years.  Devoted father of Lorie (Mike) Patterson, Jane Pellar (Ian Macdonald), Ronny Pellar and Jeffrey (Karen) Pellar.  Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jason Schwartz, Jessica Schwartz, Sydney Pellar, Olivia Pellar, Elijah Macdonald, Harrison Pellar, Quincy and Quinton Patterson.  Great-grandfather of Mackenzie, Emerson and Torin Schwartz, Nya Marks and Charlotte Dietrich. Ron is survived by his brother Neil (Shirley) Pellar, brothers-in-law Richard Ronald and Jim Ostrander, sister-in-law Pat (Tim) Bossence and by several nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by his parents Harry Pellar and Hazel (nee Winter), his brother Bruce Pellar and sister Ferol (Pellar) Ronald and sister-in-law Fern (Krueter) Pellar.

Ron worked at Marsland Engineering (Leigh) and Stahle Engineering. After retirement, Ron enjoyed working as a Crossing Guard for the city of Waterloo, safely crossing children to attend Lincoln Heights Public School.

A celebration of Ron’s life will take place in the Fireside Reception Room of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2- 5 p.m., with remarks at 3 p.m.
