Obituary of John Zieske

Passed away peacefully, taken into the arms of our Lord, surrounded by family on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the age of 93.  Beloved husband of the late Ursula (nee Rohde) Zieske (2017).

Loving father of the late John (2002), Marvin (Sandra) and Elizabeth Farr. Cherished Opa of Jordan Farr.  Brother-in-law of Veronika (Carl), Helga, and Dieter of Germany.

Will be forever remembered by many family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Wilhelm and Martha (nee Fech) Zieske, brother Victor, Sigmund and a sister Erna (as a toddler).

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ralph Meiszinger officiating. An interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.  A reception will be held in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room.
