Obituary of Rita Creed

Peacefully in her sleep and with family by her side, Rita passed away in her one-hundredth year on September 30, 2023.

Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, she was the youngest of Annie and Sandy Marley’s ten children.

Rita is survived by her daughters Ann Marie (Jim) and Evelyn (Peter); her granddaughters Marlee (Eric), Allison (Tom), and Robyn; her grandson Bill (Amrita); her great-grandchildren Melissa, Justin, Beth, Canaan, Jacob and Jesse; her great-great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Sister Georgina MacInnis.

She is predeceased by her daughter Marguerite Cassidy; her first husband James MacInnis; her second husband Herb Creed; her son-in-law Barry Boone; as well as her 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

A graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave E, Waterloo, on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 12:30 pm. A reception will follow at the Erb and Good Funeral Home.
