Obituary of Shelley Jane Widdis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shelley Widdis (Ferrell) on Oct 9, 2023, at a young age of 62 after a 11-month fight with brain cancer. 

Shelley leaves Andrew Widdis, her spouse of 43 years, son Daniel Widdis (Liz), daughter Elizabeth Brown (Phil), grandson Thomas Widdis, brothers Mark Ferrell (Pam), Brent Ferrell (Irma), sister Jill Davis (Grady) and many loving nieces and nephews.

Shelley was the epitome of a warm cooked meal, a good glass of wine, a hug hello and a sarcastic witty comment. She loved her family more than anything and will be missed greatly and celebrated often. 

Donations to Hospice of Waterloo Region on Solstice Way would be greatly appreciated. Staff there took excellent, loving care of Shelley.

A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will occur in the near future.
