Moule, John

April 19, 1932- October 4, 2023

Passed away peacefully with family by his side at St. Mary’s General Hospital on Wednesday October 4, 2023, following a brief illness.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gabrielle, (née Wredden), daughter Lise, and cherished grandchildren Sean and Danielle Wetselaar. John will be greatly missed by brother David, sisters Margaret Moule and Jean Stolworthy, and his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Dougald Allan, sisters-in-law Susan and Raquel, and brother-in-law William Stolworthy.

A lifelong athlete and nature enthusiast, John enjoyed running with his friends at the YMCA, skiing with family, hiking, bird watching, traveling to every continent (except Antarctica) with his wife, and cheering for his beloved University of Michigan.

Professionally, John found great fulfillment caring for his patients at Manitou Medical Centre and various businesses in the area.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Mary’s, who provided John and his family with such kind consideration and care, and to the staff at Winston Park for their patience and compassion.  

A public memorial service will take place in the chapel of Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo, on Sunday October 29, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room.
