Obituary of James "Jim" William Geisel

After a short battle with pancreatic cancer Jim passed away peacefully with Norma by his side, at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the age of 80.

Loving husband of Norma (nee Schaefer) Geisel, they just celebrated their 60th year of marriage.

Predeceased by his beloved son Richard Geisel (1989); parents Lorne and Anna (nee Reiber) Geisel, and sister Lorraine Parker.

Jim worked for many years and retired from Uniroyal Goodrich Canada and later Automotive Trade Supply. He enjoyed the sport of hockey, playing with the K-W Oldtimers Hockey League for many years, which allowed for a spirit of friendship and community. 

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m., followed by an interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
