Obituary of Sandra "Sandi" Martha Good
It is with profound sadness that the family of Sandi Good announce her sudden passing on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the age of 77.
Cherished and loving wife of Robert “Bob” Good, married for 56 years. Dear mother of Jackie (Darin) Collier, Laurie (Jim) Montgomery. Will be forever remembered by her beloved grandchildren Isaac and Emma Collier and Sarah and Seth Montgomery.
Survived by her brother Murray (Helen) and sisters Dianne (the late Paul) and Brenda (Terry). Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews whose presence gave her a taste of what it would be like to be a mother and grandma.
Predeceased by her daughter Julie Elizabeth; parents Weybourne and Esther (nee Berg) Hoerle.
Bob and Sandi’s story was one for the ages. Few people find a love like they did so early on in their lives. They remained devoted to each other through all of life’s ups and downs and modelled what a true love story looked like for both Jackie and Laurie. She loved her girls with all of her heart and was a steadfast and present mother right until the end.
Sandi’s creativity kept her very busy and she blessed many people with the gift of her time and her talents. She rarely sat still with her hands idle. She saw the potential to create something beautiful out of anything and loved sharing her artistic gifts with friends, neighbours and her church family.
Sandi had a servant’s heart. She dedicated much of her time to her church, serving on the gifts and pastoral search committees, creating many banners, quilting baby comforters, and decorating the church for special occasions. Sandi was a regular volunteer at the MCC Thrift Store sorting and packaging crafts in between many laughs and stories shared.
After retiring, Sandi was promoted to her best career yet as grandma. There was absolutely nothing she loved more than having her little people around her. She found joy in her grandchildren’s adventures, whether it be cheering in a cold hockey arena or a sunny ball diamond, helping lead crafts in their kindergarten classes, volunteering on a school trip, or snuggling with them during one of their many sleepovers. She was the best grandma ever. Her heart may have stopped suddenly, but her love for her family will forever be felt and cherished.
