Passed away peacefully at Luther Village on the Park, Waterloo on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the age of 92.

Loving and treasured husband, of Gloria Elinor (nee Rivers), for 69 years.  Dear father of Jennifer Baker (Einar Carlsen), Judy (Roy) Bryan, Brian (Laurie) Heimbecker, David (Elesia) Heimbecker and Steven (Diana Lang) Heimbecker. Grandfather of Jeff (Pam) Baker, Katie (Steven) Johnson, Kristen Baker (Kevin Ross), Laura (Jamie) Kirk, Glen (Regan) Bryan, Graham (Erica) Bryan, Alyssa Heimbecker, Emma Heimbecker (Mitchell Benevides), Kyle Heimbecker, Sarah Lang, Sarah Heimbecker and Tyler Heimbecker; great-grandfather of 13 beautiful children. Will be fondly remembered by his sister Joan Schnell.

Predeceased by his parents Harry and Martha (nee Seitz) Heinbecker and brother-in-law Ron Schnell.

Richard was a dedicated employee of J.M. Schneiders, Kitchener. He had a great love for driving, Youtube videos, cottage life, the Blue Jays and time spent with his Tim Hortons coffee group. Richard was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Visitation will be held at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 29 Westmount Rd S, Waterloo on Saturday January 20, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., with the Celebration of Life to follow at 11 a.m., Rev.
