Obituary of Joanne Elizabeth Summers

Jo passed away peacefully, at Middlesex Hospital Alliance – Four Counties Hospital, Newbury Ontario on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the age of 59 years.

Jo is predeceased by her parents Kip and Audrey Summers.  She is survived by her beloved sister Linda, her cousins, and dear family friend Anna.  Jo graduated from Queen’s University and kept on learning; travelling, reading, and pursuing her many hobbies which she shared with family and lifetime friends Tracy, Angie, and Susan.

She was kind and clever and funny, a special sister, daughter, and amazing friend.  We each have a special place in our hearts for Jo.  She lived a life that beat a lot of odds, living with determination, grace and spirit.

Special thanks to the Newbury nurses and emerg doctor who cared so thoughtfully for Jo and our family. 

Cremation has taken place.  A private family service and interment will be held at a later date.
