Obituary of Bebe Famida Baccus
It is with profound sadness that the family of Bebe Famida Baccus, aka Moon, announce her passing on Saturday December 16, 2023. She passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside at the Village of University Gates.
Moon is survived by her 8 children Ajib, Sahib, Shakila, Haseeb, Fazila, Saeed, Zahid and Zamila, 4 daughters-in-law, 3 sons-in-law, 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Abid Baccus, and parents Mohammed Ibrahim and Irene Ibrahim and her son Rahid Baccus.
Moon was born February 15, 1935, in Port Mourant, Guyana. In 1981 Moon, her husband, and their children immigrated to Cambridge, Ontario to embark on a new chapter of their life in Canada. She took great pride in taking care of her family and home and became famous for her signature dish of Chow Mein. Moon will ALWAYS be remembered for her heart of gold, her beautiful smile, and her love for sharing memories. She loved to have music playing in the house and always had a playful attitude towards her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed and will forever live in our hearts.

Wake Services, open to all family and friends will take place on Monday December 18th, 2023, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J 1P7.
Viewing will take place from 12:00pm – 12:30pm with funeral service (Janazah) at 12:45pm, both taking place at Waterloo Masjid, 213 Erb St. W, Waterloo, N2L 1V6 on Tuesday December 19th, 2023. Followed by burial at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave, Waterloo, N2J 4A8. Reception will be at St. George Banquet Hall, 665 King St. N, Waterloo, ON N2J 4G8 from 1:00pm – 7:00pm.
