Obituary of Beverley Dianne Klaehn

Following a lengthy illness, Bev is finally at peace and reunited with her dogs. She passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the age of 76.

After retiring from CIBC, Bev was the caretaker for her mother for several years. She spent summers at her cottage enjoying the birds at the feeder and her dog’s freedom to roam. Bev was a quilter with many of her efforts visible around her home, her cottage and her church.

Bev enjoyed reminiscing about and revisualizing the trips she had taken to Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. This helped to free her from her physical limitations. Bev will be sorely missed especially at Christmas when she hosted a gathering of friends, her sister and cousins.

Bev is survived by her sister Kathy Klaehn (partner Dave Doucette) and many cousins: Bruce Bauer (Joan), Gavin Bauer (Sachie), Steven Bauer (Simone), Richard Bauer (Courtney), Herb Klaehn (Kate), Gordon Lomoth, Mark Hertzburger, and Breck Hertzburger.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm. The Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home’s Chapel on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 12pm with a reception to follow in the Kuntz House.
