Obituary of Michael Zielke

Michael passed away peacefully at the Grand River Hospital - Freeport Campus on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at the age of 70. He is now holding Jesus’ hand walking through Heaven.

Son of the late Ernest and Adeline Zielke, brother of Linda Himes (the late Ron), the late Bonnie Nagy, Elaine Zielke, and Laverne Zielke (Stephanie).

Father of Jamie Zielke (Sonia) and Kimberly Schlueter (Jeremy), grandfather of Christina, Catherine, Benjamin, Thomas, Isabella & Joshua.

Michael (known by his friends as “Rock”) was a quiet & hardworking man who enjoyed his solitude and riding motorcycles. He was brave, stubborn and had a rebellious side. These qualities led him down a challenging path in his younger days, but with the passage of time he found the Lord. 

Cremation has taken place. A public graveside ceremony will be held at Williamsburg Cemetery on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.  There will be a private celebration of life for family at a later date.
