In searching for Murray’s obituary I noticed a link to a local article in PressReader from 2013. The author interviewing Murray asked him questions about trends on precious stones and the jewellery business. The first quote from Murray in the article was “It’s a happy business”. Perfect fit for Murray to be in that business …… he was one the happiest people you could ever meet …. Always smiling, laughing, and joking. Sincere condolences to the Dunnette family. We remember both Murray and Arlene and our visits to Dunentte Jewelers on King St with our parents, Bruce and Jo Omand, through the years. He always had time to visit, shared his expertise and gave such dedicated service to all of his customers. Mr. Dunnette, as we used to call him when we lived on the same street, was one of the nicest people you could meet. Always met you with a large grin, interested in what was going on and enjoyed talking with us. Boy looking back he and Mrs. Dunnette sure had an abundance of patience with us even if we did ride our Mustang bikes across their lawn and left wet towels hanging off the chairs and empty Mountain Dew cans, around the pool. Reading through Murray's accomplishments, now that I have some what matured, makes me appreciate what a smart man and skilled entrepreneur he was. How does a guy get that much done in one lifetime ? In recent years Murray would stop outside brother Tom's house for a chat with him on his way to or from the golf course. Tom would giggle as he recounted something outrageous that Murray would throw at him. Thanks for being a friend to us and to our parents who also loved sharing some time with Murray! And thankyou to Arlene and family as well for sharing our lives. Wish we could turn back the clock and do it all over again! Just close your eyes and picture Murray Dunnette ........ there's that happy, enthusiastic, boyish grin . With Love Paul and the Reinhardt family.
