Carl’s service would have pleased him greatly. It was deeply honouring to the Lord, and it summed up Carl’s life from many different aspects. Knowing how much our parents valued the friendship and fellowship of your parents, we always enjoyed our times with them and with your family. It was wonderful to hear about Carl’s lifelong quest to deepen his relationship with Jesus. The heavenly reunion that he has just begun to enjoy will surely be satisfying and glorious for him. You are all in our hearts and in our prayers as you mourn his loss and learn to live without him.
Dear Hiltz / Martin Family,
Sending warm waishes your way at this difficult time. Carl sounded like a loving family man and wonderful community supporter. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.
Sincerely,
Carly Kuntz

Carl was passionate about God and he loved people.
This quote from the obituary is certainly how I remember Carl.
I was one of those young people involved with Jacobs Well in the early 70’s. That is where God lead me to learn about Him and His way’s and His Word. Carl and Betts played a big role in my life at that time in my life. Carl even helped me find my first full time job! His passion for Jesus and his welcoming personality for all of us crazy teens was truly evident.
Thank you Carl. Thank you Jesus!
