Obituary of Sherri Lalonde

Passed away on Tuesday December 26, 2023 at the age 55.

Sherri is survived by long time partner, Angela Bowyer and loving animals Buddy, Sam-Sam and Jen-Jen, as well as, her son Daniel Lalonde, niece Kristina Thompson, Brother Jason Lalonde and cousin Jody Lalonde and the many loving friends and supports across the Kitchener-Waterloo community.

Predeceased by her parents Henry LaLonde and Judy Pitts (Lalonde), sister Sheila Lalonde, previous husband Randy Keyes and stepdaughter Regan Keyes and several dear friends lost too soon.

Sherri was a tough, vibrant, and high-spirited woman with an energy and laugh that captivated those around her. To say that she lived life on her own terms is an understatement. Sherri’s life is one that is beyond fiction, and she would be the first to tell you that. Sherri often spoke about wanting to write a memoir to capture her adventures, the complex grief and love she held for her family and the strikingly raw and beautiful lens from which she viewed this world. Sherri- you might not have been able to write your book but the impact you had on our hearts and the wild tales of your adventures will continue to be shared among the community. Thank you for letting us in. Our worlds are forever changed by knowing you.

Special thanks to the community for helping us raise the funds to regain custody of her animals from the Humane Society following her sudden passing and to her chosen family, the ladies who have given Buddy, Sam-Sam, and Jen-Jen a new home.

Cremation has taken place.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
