John, Leslie and Cassie, on behalf of my mother, my two sisters and me I want to extend our deepest condolences. If I recall correctly I played for the first minor hockey team that your father coached up at the Pee Wee in the mid 70's (you were just a baby and he would bring you into the dressing room in his arms). I can't begin to imagine how many kids he coached over the years, not only shaping them as young hockey players, but more importantly, young men. I have many wonderful memories of your father from my youth. I wish I had known that he was up in Waterloo as I would have taken the short drive over from Hamilton, where I have lived for many years, to say hello and thank him. I play an old-timers game tonight and will give it a little extra in his memory!
