The Holst family was so saddened to hear about David’s passing. He and Jocelyn were such huge parts of our lives for the 30 years or so. My parents met them golfing in Florida and started to travel the world with them. Our family would always have Christmas dinners with David and Jocelyn in Florida since they were from Canada and didn’t always have family in town. It became a tradition for many years up until they couldn’t travel to Florida any longer. It was always so much fun and so many laughs. Being a little bit picky of an eater, David loved the pineapple casserole the most. In the later years we understand they would make it for him weekly.
The thing I loved the most about David was his kind demeanor and love of Jocelyn. They never seemed to have a bad day together or an argument. Even if they disagreed they did it in the kindest way.
We will miss talking to you David. You were a huge part of our lives over the years!
Here is a pic of my mom and David one of the last years they were in Florida. With drink in hand and smile on his face. We love you David.
