Obituary of Bruce Carnochan Sanders
We loved, we laughed, and we had a good, good time.
Bruce was the beloved husband and best friend of Marianne. He is survived by sister-in-law Bev. He will be remembered by his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Lura (nee Carnochan), brothers Harold, Donald and Earl (Sandy), sisters Hazel (Glen) Shantz, Joyce (Ernest) Walker, sisters-in-law Kathleen and Winifred, nephew Douglas Sanders and niece Pamela Goebel.
Bruce was a member of St. Andrew’s Memorial Anglican Church. Previously a longtime member of Emmanuel United Church where he sang in the senior choir for 51 years and was very active in many aspects of church worship. Bruce also sang with the KW Singers (formerly the Dominion Life Choir) for 55 years and enjoyed the music and fellowship of the choir over the years. For many years Bruce serenaded friends with a happy birthday song on their special day. Bruce retired from Manulife Financial (Dominion Life) in 1995 after 44 years of service, where his peers gave him the unofficial title of RAPS specialist.
Bruce volunteered with the Back to Bolivia Mission folk for many years collecting cans and bottles. Recently he celebrated his 91st birthday with many whipped cream treats.
Special thanks to all of the caregivers including Revs. Matt, Marty and Bruce’s niece, Leslie Walker. Also to the PSW’s for their personal care, especially Leah and Mujidap. In addition, friends Ken North and Norm Benest.
Visitation will take place at St. Andrews Memorial Anglican Church, 275 Mill St, Kitchener, on Wednesday March 6, 2024 from 10-10:45 a.m. with a service at 11 a.m. followed by a reception in the church hall. Cremation will take place.

His smile will be much missed.
