Obituary of Angela Bernadette Lucy Madappuli

Passed away peacefully at Luther Village on the Park, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

Angela was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Valarian Angelo Madappulli. She is survived by her brother Anselm Perera (Sri Lanka) and predeceased by her sister Hannah Perera, brothers George Perera and Edmund Perera. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces Minoli Perera (USA), Mariez Madappuli (Sri Lanka), nephew Dayan Perera (USA), and other relatives and many friends throughout the Waterloo Region, in Ontario and abroad.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes St. Waterloo, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm.  A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Cremation will take place subsequently and interment will be held in Sri Lanka.

Angela was born in Sir Lanka, on January 12th, 1935. Angela will be remembered for her kind and loving ways. She was a wonderful cook and tried out many different cuisines and would graciously offer a variety of food to her visitors. She was very talented in handy crafts, knitting and gardening. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew her.
