Born in the United Kingdom, John’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of enduring love with his beloved wife, Pat McConnell, who predeceased him in 2008, after over fifty years of marriage.

A proud father to Patti and Sean McConnell, John’s joy was multiplied as he became a grandfather to Taylor, Halle, and Quinn, and a great-grandfather to eight beautiful great-grandchildren. His life was enriched by a loving extended family both in the United Kingdom and Spain, whose bonds of affection and mutual respect were deeply cherished.

John’s journey through life was marked by his diligent work as a millwright and his honorable service with the Durham Light Infantry, serving Britain overseas in Cyprus. His story is one of unwavering commitment to his loved ones, near and far, and a testament to a life well-lived.
