Duane Earl Robert Ermel passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the age of 55.
Born in Kitchener on November 8, 1968, Duane attended Trillium School, Laurentian School, and Cameron Heights Collegiate. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he played both soccer and hockey. Duane worked as a Sheet Metal Worker at Union Local 562 for over 30 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, billiards, bowling, golf, and so much more. Duane was very creative and had a great imagination. He could build anything, and it was always unique and different. We will remember his charismatic smile and great sense of humour. He always had something funny to say. Duane was devoted to his two daughters and was always there for them. His four grandchildren were his world, and Duane was the best grandfather ever.

Duane was predeceased by his mother Beverly Ermel (nee Merner), his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
