Obituary of George William Whitefoot

George Whitefoot, 84, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital on March 21, 2024, surrounded by family. Born June 24, 1940, he lived a life with love, laughter and cherished memories.

He married Audrey 65 years ago, beginning a journey filled with love, companionship and family. They had three children, Brian, Bonnie and Brent.

George retired after 25 years of service from Uniroyal.

Always the gracious host, George delighted in gathering loved ones around the table where he shared not only his culinary creations, but also his warmth, generosity, and narratives of his friends and experiences in life. Whether he was cooking up a storm in the kitchen or sharing a story, he made every day an occasion and a celebration of friendship, love, and the simple joys of good food.

In addition to his culinary pursuits, George will be remembered for his love of fishing, his passion for golfing and his unwavering friendship qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.

George is survived by his spouse Audrey Whitefoot, daughter Bonnie and son-in-law Dave Seymour, son Brent Whitefoot and daughter-in-law Leanne (Varga), four grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Aimee Whitefoot, Lyndsay and Michael Proctor, Stewart and Ashley Whitefoot, Joanne and Brian Whitefoot, and six great-grandchildren, George, Parker, Keenan, Ava, Tinsley and Maverick.

He was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law Brian and Linda Whitefoot (Eberlin) and daughter-in-law Beth Whitefoot (Shantz).

Though George will no longer grace us with his warm presence, his story will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
