I was saddened to read Ed's obituary today. I got to know him when I was a grad student in the School of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Waterloo in the 1970's. I had the privilege of sharing an office with him for a time in the late 1970's. He was always a knowledgeable and humorous conversationalist and I'm sure was a great teacher. My condolences to Marilyn and his family. He will be missed. Rest in peace.
