Our sympathy on the passing of your dear Nancy. I am glad to have crossed paths with her at our beloved Concordia College, Bronxville, NY.
We rejoice in her eternal life and know she rests with Jesus. We also know that you are left with an empty space in your hearts and lives. God fill the empty space with His peace.

In April, 2020, when the initial wave of the global pandemic had broken, St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, New York, was square in the eye of the hurricane. Fifteen people from the block of the church died in those first months. When Ray and Nancy Kirk heard of our situation in New York and contacted us in Brooklyn, Nancy and her friend Roz Kays hand-made 165 cloth masks and got them to us in our hour of need.
Remember, this is when there were no available masks and long before vaccines had been created. Those masks were literally life-savers and more. Because they were sent with Christian love and purpose, as they were distributed they were an answer to prayer.
Nancy rests in blessed peace in the arms of a gracious God. That grace was revealed to us a thousand miles away in Nancy's response to our need. May the comfort of Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life, accompany seminary classmate Ray and the entire family!
