With her family by her side, Sharon was peacefully called to her heavenly home on Sunday April 21, 2024 at Innisfree House in Kitchener at age 62.

Sharon will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 40 years Jerry, her children Chris (Leah), Ben (Vanessa), Karmen (Jake) Walsh, and Kurtis (Hanna Carroll), her very special grandchildren Alexandria, Evelyn-Anne, Jasmine, Casper and Jethro, her father James (Magda) Dykstra, her brothers, Gord (Joan) and Sid (Marilyn), and her step siblings, Clarence (Gianna) Dykema and Christine (Jim) Rorison. She will be remembered by her many family and friends. 

She was predeceased by her mother Hendrine (1987) and infant daughter Jocelyn (1994).

Sharon grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. She attended Edmonton Christian School where she made lasting friendships. She married Jerry Postma on May 14th, 1983 in Edmonton. Sharon and Jerry moved to Kitchener, Ontario in 1986, where they raised their family. They attended Community CRC where they made many good friends. Sharon filled up her days with gardening, crafting, sewing, and volunteering. Over the past 8 years, Sharon spent a lot of time at the Postma Farm near Meaford, where she would garden to her heart's desire and stand in awe of God's creation. She absolutely loved it there. We have no doubt that she is wandering the gardens in Heaven right now.

Visitation will be held at the Community Christian Reformed Church, 1275 Bleams Rd, Kitchener on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 3pm – 5pm and 7pm - 9pm.  The funeral service will take place at the Church on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 11am, followed by a time for refreshment and fellowship in the church hall.  A private family interment will be held at Williamsburg Cemetery.
