Obituary of Nancy Audrey Quantz

Nancy Audrey Quantz passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the age of 82.

Nancy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her three daughters Sharon (Simon Farlow), Carmen Abel, and Lisa Thompson (Chris), and her four grandchildren Andrew Abel (Alicia), Matthew Abel, Emily Yaeger (Luke), and Aaron Thompson. Nancy was also the beloved “Gigi” to three great-grandchildren Kieran Abel, Quinn Abel, and Walker Yaeger.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, James Douglas Quantz in 2022.

Nancy loved travelling, gardening, and crafting. She also enjoyed spending her summers at the cottage, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Wiarton Branch #208, and retired from Bell Canada where she worked for many years.

Special thanks to the amazing medical staff at Brightshores Hospital in Wiarton and Innisfree House in Kitchener for the exceptional care you provided to Nancy.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Wiarton Legion Branch #208, 330 Boyd Street. A light luncheon will be provided.
