Obituary of William David Smyth

William (Wilmer) Smyth passed away suddenly on April 30, 2024, in Waterloo, ON, at the age of 82.

Predeceased by his wife Ann Smyth (Cranston) and survived by his children Stephen Smyth, Sandra Leclerc (Jeffrey), Amanda Meesters (Nick); his grandchildren Garey, Meagan, Vanessa, Linzi, and Riley; and his 12 great-grandchildren.

Also survived by his wife Karin McMillan; her children Rain (Laci) and Will (Amy). Loving Papa to Fahlyn, Declan, Noah, and Liam.

Wilmer was predeceased by his parents Norman and Ellen Smyth, his brother Norman, his sister Eleanor, and survived by his sister Hilda, all of Northern Ireland.

Wilmer enjoyed golf and telling a good joke. He was a talented watercolour artist.

A funeral service will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
