It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Nicholas Boyko on Wednesday May 1, 2024 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 94. 

Beloved husband of Patricia Boyko for 72 years.  Loving father to Jim (Debbie), Beverly (Steve), Kathy (Dean) and Rob (Ann).  Cherished Grandfather to Niki, Stuart, Stephanie, Jackie, Carly, Kimberly, Emily and Nick and Great Grandfather to Doug, Ceci, Leo, Brie, Gunnar, Lena and Tommy. 

Nick was very social and found immense joy in the company of his family and friends. Born and raised in Kitchener, Nick made lasting friends from his many years playing competitive baseball and hockey for Kitchener teams as well as through his upholstery business.

Nick had a lifelong career in upholstering that began at Snyder’s Furniture and eventually led to him and his business partner, Hank Zetting, to start their own business in the 1960’s.  Nick pursued his profession well into his 80’s. 

Nick’s family will receive relatives and friends for a celebration of his life with visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S, Waterloo, on Wednesday May 15^th, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday May 16^th, 2024 at 11 a.m. Followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room.   Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
